Guest Post: Welcome Hans M. Hirschi and Willem of the Tafel #giveaway #tour

I am thrilled to welcome the talented and often amusing Hans M. Hirschi to talk about his new book, Willem of the Tafel!

Welcome, Hans! Let's start with a few random questions.

What do you do when you are not writing?

Lately it seems answering questions like these.

When did you first start writing and when did you finish your first book?
I’ve been writing for as long as I could hold a pen. My first book was finished in 1991.

How did you choose the genre you write in?
I was a miserable young man: love poetry, what else? These days I write contemporary, about the misery in the world and add hope to the batter.

Where do you get your ideas?
Life, being a parent, being curious about the world around me. There are more stories out there than I could write in a life time…

Do you ever experience writer’s block?
Frequently. Luckily, I find ways to keep myself busy with other work. I just have to make sure not to confuse it with procrastinating…

Do you work with an outline, or just write?
I just write. My brain hates outlines and thinks out of any box, it just wouldn’t work.

Have you written a book you love that you have not been able to get published?

Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?
“Family Ties”, my first novel, was very much autobiographic, but there are elements of me in all my books. In “Willem of the Tafel”, it’s mostly beliefs, convictions, my sense of morality and ethics shining through, but no real life experiences.

Now, on to the book...and the giveaway!

Hans M Hirschi (b. 1967) has been writing stories ever since he was a child. Adulthood and the demands of corporate life efficiently put an end to his fictional writing for over twenty years.
A global executive in training and channel development, Hans has traveled the world and had previously published non-fictional titles.
The birth of his son and the subsequent parental leave provided him with the opportunity to unleash his creative writing once again. With little influence over his brain’s creative workings, he indulges it, going with the flow.
A deeply rooted passion for, faith in a better world, in love, tolerance and diversity are a red thread throughout both his creative and non-fictional work. His novels might best be described as “literary romance, engaging characters and relevant stories that won’t leave you untouched, but hopeful.”
Hans is a proud member of the Swedish Writers’ Union and the Writers’ Center in Sweden.
